Default New H3 Owner in NJ

Hey all, name's Bob, recently (as in Saturday) bought a 2008 H3 to replace my failing Xterra (too many problems to fix). Past few days driving the H3 has been pretty nice. Probably going to be searching this forum a bit soon to learn something about the new ride

Little about me, computer/IT nerd, volunteer SAR Diver on the Jersey Shore. (Not to be confused by that ridiculous show, unfortunately Sandy didn't destroy the house :/)

Quick pic, hopefully have some beach pics soon.

Looks like your H3 is an Adventure Package. Do you have a button on the 4x4 center area that looks like this one?

photo isn't working. It looks like 4 tires with an "X" in between the rear tires.

I do, to be honest, I had/have absolutely no idea what trim this H3 is or what the biggest differences between the different trims are.

Take a picture of the center console area just above your radio. Where the 4x4 buttons are.
Then we can tell you just what you have for a model type.

It definitely has the locking rear. I can take some pics in a few minutes, going on my lunch break. Plus I intend to replace the head unit sometime tonight and put my older Pioneer DVD player in.

So hopefully my experience last night is not indicative of how the experience owning the hummer will be haha. Spent about 1.5 hours wiring up the harness for the head unit, about 30 minute trying to get the dash apart because pulling from the power outlets wasn't working as suggested, only to find out the side mounting brakets for the headunit are the wrong ones for the truck!

Either way still loving the truck. Probably taking it offroad sometime tonight around midnight.
