This is brake fluid. Its dark green, almost black. Supposedly its a reaction between the brake fluid and copper/ brass fittings within the system.

That brake fluid is nasty. Your old pads look pretty thick to me, you just upgrading?

As far as I know these were the original brake pads and rotors and yes they had a ton of meat on them but you could see heat scorches on the rotors and what I assume are heat cracks. I didn't know if they could be cut or not. For $400 is wasn't worth the hassle of running back and forth and I like the look of the new rotors.

I will probably need to flush the brake system again but it sure does stop much better now than it did before.
