The steering wheel is stock, but I had the wheel and the plastic leather wrapped as well.

Paint color

I decided to go with a 2015 Ford Avalanche Grey (DR-PPG) color. The Nardo grey sample kept coming out to dark, but the Avalanche grey was very consistent. Suppose to have paint down on this Wed. they were cleaning the dust of and have already taped it up. (Left-bottom)

That's going to look awesome. Can't wait to see the finished product.

The dash is US SPEEDO blue face and I also bought the New bezels as well you do not have too , you can use the stock but the stock one only has the chrome look over one and the aftermarket one has chrome look over all of the gauges.

subscribed to this beast... Awesome build... My wife and i just got our second H3 a few days ago... We were looking at the H2 but our price range only allowed H2's with 100k miles and i didn't want that... Found a few with 80k miles under 25k but i definitely like the SUT..

I would have voted a pearl white...

Yes pearl white was definitely a consideration, however I wanted a color that has not been done before. This darker dove grey color is hot right now and I think it will come out great. (at least thats what I keep telling my self) here is a photo from yesterday, they said they moved it into the paint booth last night. So it should get painted today.

definitely not a lot of surface area to paint like a normal car but I can see where it probably took a good 2 to 3 days to prep and mask everything off. looks like the shop is doing a great job so far.

Yes..just slowly..(according to my time frame..lol) One problem was the paint I chose, Avalanche Grey (Ford 2015 DR-ppg) Its a new color and its not in anyone's computer system, in fact the color is not even out...It took some doing just to find the formula. (not the paint code;DR) So today I should have paint on it. I guess, they will spray a sealant, then the paint, then the clear coat. I'm just dying to know what the paint looks like.:D

Its not all the surface that is the hard part about painting the SUT, its all the plastic parts. they said about 60 different parts had to be sanded, prepped, and painted.
