can any one tell me how to get the step rail plastic tops off so i can add my new chrome plates to this area,they spring up but dont let loose and afraid to break something.Came with no instructions on how to remove the plastic skid plates to add the new.

Wow they are hard to do but they just pop up,they are hard but they will come up but its a bitch but be careful not to break.
