I installed the Recon Big Rig Amber running lights w/ white courtesy lights about 3mos ago. Got everything working fine with the exception of the white courtesy lights (supposed to go from amber to white when the doors open). I tapped into the front floor lamps which results in the running lights staying lit white when the doors are shut and truck is off. Upon looking at a diagram for a 2006 H3, I see that these lights are always hot and use the BCM (body control module) to break ground. I spoke with Recon and a few friends and they suggested a 5 Pole relay to get things working properly but it would seem that the relay would always be activated and eventually burn out due to the circuit always being hot.

what i currently have right now is a wire pulled into the cab on the front passenger and driver side which need to connect up to a positive source which turns on and off when the doors open; the entire light bar is already grounded to chassis. Any suggestions?
