Hey guys. Decided it's time to get me a CB radio going since I do quite a bit of wheeling with a group. I was looking at the firestik 2 since it looks easy to tune and seems like its gotten good reviews. I would like to mount it to the spare tire carrier like I have seen pictures of before. What size antenna are most guys running mounted behind the spare tire carrier? Is a 4 foot okay? Would 3 foot work? Also, firestik has a mount for the spare tire carrier but it uses 4 bolts. Are guys using this mount and just drilling holes in the tire carrier or is there another mount out there that would do better for the H3? I will be using it with my Midland 75-822. Any advice on the antenna size, model or mount is greatly needed and appreciated. Thanks in advance.
