NEED NEW SHOCKS...AFTER H3 NOW LEVELED..ANY SUGGESTIONS????

hello....can anyone give me some advise on new shocks for front and rear.?
I had the front end leveled out and the ride now sucks a little...too tight....feel all the bumps.

I hope that someone has some advise about what they have done etc.

I haven't changed mine out yet, but this is the thread I read that has the best info so far:

https://www.hummerforums.com/m_80962/tm.htm

Looks like a majority are recommending these:

Perform a search for "shocks" and you'll find a wealth of information on the topic, especially in the H3 forums.

I recently had the same problem with my vehicle and was told to purchase Cognito/Bilstein leveling shocks. After doing some research I found a company called Fat Bob's garage that sell's shock extender brackets for $50.00. They work amazing and saved some $$$$$.

I recently just leveled my truck and ran into the same problem. You can order shock absorber extender brackets (6-lug) from fat bob's garage for $50.00 or Bilstein leveling shock's from cognito motorsports for about $180.00 with shipping. There is no need to replace the rear shock's and you have to align the vehicle after the shock's or extenders are installed. After you complete the install and alignment, your truck should ride better than the day you picked it up from the dealer.

Shock extenders work to provide additional travel for the stock shock, but they obviously cannot change the shock rate like a new set of cognitos can.

If the ride is ok, but you want to make sure you are not overextending your shocks, extenders are a cheaper solution.

The Bilstein cognitos do make for a nice ride.

I just leveled my 2008 H3 today in my garage. It took about 45 min. I plan on getting the cognito's within a few weeks. From other forums I've read I just dont feel comfortable with the shock extenders.

Larger diameter and longer than the base/lux stock shocks. Longer than the adventure stock shocks. Bilstein quality gas valving. Not truley accurate to say stiffer, but set up specifically for a levelled H3. They dampen roll, but still suck up the bumps is the best inartful way of attempting a description.

If you have ever had a set of Bilsteins, you would feel the difference. I used them on every Vette I restored back in the day, great shocks.
