Default need lamp socket for rear bumper

Realized that was the reason my light wasn't working. Pins were corroded and snapped off. Been to the dealer and I have to buy the whole light assembly. So, like i say, has anyone got a lamp socket for rear bumper light ?
Thanks, Paul

I'm almost wondering if its integrated into the entire harness/trailer hookups for those bumper lights. If so your best bet would be to just splice in a new socket which would be insanely cheaper than a new harness.

I had the same problem on my first Hummer. Mine melted. I checked everywhere. I could only buy the entire assembly. I ended up pulling the bulb out of the good one and just blacking out the lenses. You could easily get one out of a scrap yard. I was just too lazy!

Hi did you ever solve this?

I have the same problem and I'm finding AC Delco sockets but not sure which one is the correct one.

Autopartswarehouse lists the following with pictures

LS176 (what I think it is)
LS44
LS117
LS59

Like you I don't want to spend $300 for the whole damn light housing to get a $40 light socket.

Well after searching all damn day and having to use Google image search to match up one that looks like the one from the lower bumper I finally found it!

No more spending $300 with GM for the whole freaking light assembly. Here's the info for anyone searching for this in the future

Hummer H2 SUV 2003-2009 Rear lower bumper turn signal / marker light left or right side light bulb socket housing GM part # 12335899. It will say its for the front grill turn signal but I confirmed that it is the same part via the manufacturer part number (ending in A22) on the actual socket housing.

So there ya go fix it the right way for $4 on Amazon vs. $300 at the dealer.

UPDATE: I made a Youtube video to SHOW YOU they are the same. Check this out
