My new 07 !

Hi everyone, Im new to the Hummer but have been an avid offroader for a long time only on 2 wheels. Ihave a motorcycle passionand ride a KTM 950 Adventure umongst othersand did a 2,500 mile offroad adventure trip in Idaho and Montana this Sept. crossing the divide 7 times during the trip. You can see the trip here if you like : http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166318
I'm also an Dakar Rally freak. I abosultley think the Lisbon-Dakar Rally is the worldsultimate race.
I really, really love my H3. I got the luxury/chrome/towing/roof rack/chrome steps package.Some observations. Quiet inside, and I came from a 01 Lexus RX300 and my 1st american car in years. Solid and quality feel and look. I love the way it drives. Awesome, intimedating looks ! Things I didnt like ? Its listing to port ! 1" difference between the left and right side of the truck. Ill have it adjusted, but it strikes me as a little weird, I mean it has only 500 miles on it. No passenger courtesy light ? Heated seat switch on the side of the seats sucks ! Chrome package should include the gas cap door no ? (yea, I ordered it anyway). Oh, and yea I cant spell that great.
Here she is !

welcome aboard....searcha round and check out the various topics, most of your observations have been covered many many times, including the "GM lean" Yes every h3 from the factory leans to the left, the fuel tank is on the left side of the frame, not run between the rails from left to right like most cras are today. The lean will be less noticable with no fuel in the tank. A 3 minute one turn crank of the t-bar will level it off for you.

Mark, just looked at your photos of your H3, really sweet. Hey, the Hummer plug for the tow hitch, is that supposed to come with the hitch package or did you buy it extra ?

As luck would have it. With just 400 miles on the clock an errant stone thrown up by a fellow NJ driver met my new windshield. The local windshield guy tells me he has an exact replica made by PPG for $400 installed. OK, great come do it. He shows up and takes the replacement out of the truck. Its no the same, it has that super dark sun tint strip across 1/3 of the glass. I stop him. No way I say, the Hummer windshield is short and I'll be looking righ across that line while driving, hence driving me nuts. He left. He said excaxt on the phone, it was not. So, I'll be taking to my Hummer dealer for replacement. How much you might ask ?
[sm=smiley29.gif]$600 !
