i have a viper alarm installed in my white h2, and sometimes it goes off on its own also. don't know what it makes it do that, so i'm also curious about this.

Viper Systems seem to have a lot of problems.
It's cool how it connects to a Smartphone, but it can be very unreliable. :(

A couple of issues come to mind;

1. If there is a leveling (towing) sensor attached to the system, it may be set too sensitive.

2. You may have a power drop of your battery overnight. Possibly a bad cell in the battery that loses voltage from sitting there overnight.

I work at a dealership and on a regular basis we remove aftermarket alarms. It's not as complicated as you think to remove it. There is one wire that has to be reconnected which is easy to find as the wires are color coated. I've personally removed dozens of aftermarket alarms, kill switches & even the drunk driving blower thing once?:D remove it & your troubles will be gone!
