I'm searching for an H3 .....thought we had one bought already but it fell through........but I'm looking at car faxes and ALOT of H3's with 40,50,60k miles have 3 and 4 owners.......why so many owners on such a low milage car....is this normal? DO most people trade every 10-15k miles.

 

Don't be mislead by the Car Fax data. I am the original owner of my H3 but when I looked it up on Car Fax it shows owners: #1) The original dealership that took delivery from GM. #2) The dealership I got it from that traded for it from the original dealership so I could get the color and options I wanted. #3) Myself when I leased it. #4) I wanted to by it when my lease was up. A third GM dealership offered me a better purchase price, so I turned it in to them instead of my original leasing dealer. #5) Since the dealership can't sell to the original lessee (unless you pay the contracted price with no 'dealing'....a GM rule), my wife had to put it in her name. #6) Back in my name after my wife had it in her name for 30 days. So, according to Car Fax my 3 had 6 owners, and it was never driven by anyone but myself!!

 

That is a very good point made by Broken Halo. Then alot of people get it and just dont like it for various reasons. Crazy people. I guess some think that they can get 30 mpg in a Hummer. I know some have sold theirs because of the windows. So dont put too much stock in the carfax. Good luck on your search, and post up a pic of your rig when you do find it.

 

Also I know many people that are original owners of their 2006 and up Hummers. You might be seeing multiple owner vehicles for sale because a lot of us have never traded or sold our Hummers. The ones in the market might be getting traded around a lot but many of the Hummers out there are still owned by the original owner...my H3 included.
