Is there a "prefered" single inlet to dual tip exhaust muffler out there for the H3? (3.7 or 3.5)

I'm interested in dual outlets, better sound, and freer exhaust too. It seems that an awful lot of it is subjective here on the forum... like the two totally different experiences with Magnaflow above. My question is, what exactly does a catback include for the H3 since the cat is in the exhaust manifold? Is it the complete exhaust?

1 Attachment(s)
I5 H3s have a mini cat in the exhaust manifold, and another rear cat BEFORE the resonator, which is before the over axle pipe to the muffler.
LH8 H3s have three, a mini in each exhaust manifold and another at the rear behind the Y pipe. The cat back systems start...... yep, at the rear cat back. Rear Cat Alpha Attachment 12371 |
I've had my MagnaFlow cat back since June 07, sounds great. If you never bought a CAT back system, they take a good 1500- 2000 miles or so to break in and mellow tone. Mandrel benders use inside and outside pipe manipulation and require tooling oil to stretch and bend the pipe so the machine does not deform the pipe, that takes time to burn off, while clamps are seating and the muffler is being broke in. Relax, enjoy the sound.

Ahhh.. I didn't know about the rear one. Thanks Doc.
