max wheel spacer size?

What's the max. thickness of a wheel spacer (just the stick on plates, not the ones with the extra studs) that can go on? I know I can just measure it myself, but I'm sitting at work right now, so if someone knows, it would be nice:) How much do the studs protrude from the wheel. I would like to get at least 5 turns from the nut...
If no one knows, I'll take the measurements and post them here on the forum for future reference. cheers :)

I would highly advise against using a wheel spacer like you have described. This is an 8 Lug truck and if you are putting on wider tires you are putting even more stress on your lug nuts. If you are going to use any kind of spacers get the ones that have there own lugs.

BTW you are totally going to wear out your hubs faster if you put spacers on.....

Hi...

Planning to put spacer on my H2. Anybody tried this before? Perhaps a H2photo with spacer on.

No not many people do it for the reasons Hummin mentioned above and if someone has its usually temporary.

For wider wheels you need a different rim and offset to put the wheels out but keep the proper hub depth.

100% TRUE, Spacers also create an extra shear point on your studs, if you offroad or put a lot of stress on your chassis I've see the wheels literally break off in Pismo Beach after going over some of the Whoops.

Wow...nice H2!!!! Have u got any issue with that GIGANTIC tyre set + spacer?

REBREATHER Sep 13, 2013 08:40 AM

Thanks . I Have not had any problems. The tires do not take in somewhere even if I remove the spacers .

1 1/2" spacers or adapters? If they are spacers then your wheels are no longer hub centric because your hub does not come out that far to keep the wheel centered. Do you have any vibrations on the highway?

My spacers looks exactly like the brake disc . I have real spacers that center 100% on my rims . I do not have any vibrations
