Default luxury or adventure with luxury specs

Hi all,

I recently had my car written off by a falling tree and am looking to use it as a great excuse to purchase a new Hummer H3 here in Australia

Being new to this type of vehicle (and 4x4's) can anyone tell me if its worth paying the extra few thousand for the adventure model which has the locking rear diff and off-road package?

Are there any other factory options you'd also recommend?

Again it all depends on how you drive your Hummer. I have the Adv. and Lux. Pkgs. because I wheel mine but yet want the extra comfort of power/heated seats.

If you plan on going off road than these area must:
Adv. Pkg., underbody protection, rock sliders, and better tires. The rest comes down to driver ability.

The Adventure/Offroad package is probably the best deal you will ever get on anything related to Hummer. Try getting a new transfer case and e-locker for $1600 US.

I always tell people that if they can afford it, to get it, even if they don't offroad, because it will likely help with resale value down the road. Plus once you start wheeling it (and you will ) you'll wish had it.

I agree with this. Originally when I purchased my H3 my wife told me that it would never go off road, well it took a little while but I finally talked her into a trail ride and now we seem to try and make any excuse to take it off road. We just happened to have the adventure package because it was a trade in, but I am definatelly glad we have it, the locking rear end comes in very handy in sticky situations.
