Lug nut/wheel bolt torque?
Simple question, I know. I figured the owner's manual would specify but I didn't find it, searched the forum for "Lug Nut Torque" and "Wheel Bolt Torque" and didn't find the answer either.
Rotated the tires today, and just want to make sure the lug nuts are torqued correctly. Anyone know the lb/ft spec for the stock '08 H3 lug nuts? Thanks, Phil |
I believe it is 100 ft/lbs. Best not to put any grease or oil on the threads and best to torque them in 2 stages , 60 and 100.
Also, as with any aluminum wheel re-torque them after 100 miles. |

I have only done it once at 100ft. lbs. because the people at Dunn Tire said that's standard on a ton of vehicles. They also said that a 2nd retorque only had to be done on steel wheels

It was always my understanding that alloy wheels needed re-torqued. :)
