The hummer uses the Lq9 or Lq4 motor popular in chevy 1500 and 2500 pickups. Check out performance trucks.net. TONS of info on cam swaps

In a heavy truck like the H2 you dont want to be running a cam/intake setup used in a lightweight car that makes HP at high RPM's. You want a cam profile that will make big torque in the low RPM range to move all that weight.

It will work just like on the 1500 and 2500 truck series. But you need the accessories brackets/mounts off an f-body to fit the LS1 or LS6 intake making room for your alternator and etc. It can be done. You'll need a low RPM cam such as the one I bought 212/218. (That might the hotcam specs, Ive had that cam too) It's a good low and mid power band cam.
