I am intrested in installing this option on my 08 H2. It is a $1895 dealer installed option. I would like to know what a present owner of this option thinks of the light bar and if they feel it is worth the money.

 

i have the 2007 se and the light bar is decent..
i had a rollbar full of kc daylighters on my last chevy pickup.. the factory light bar is no where near as bright as they were. The lights have a blueish color... they do offer some side trail lighting. we wheel at night alot on our farm. They reach out as far as the highbeams on the truck.. they also make some noise up there going over 60mph.... on a scale of one to ten i give them a 6.5 .... the lense covers are so tightly put on that the dealer service techbroke a light getting them off!!!! there is no way i would ever put the covers back on!!!! some law people do not like open lights!!! I would look into the light bar that another company makes for the roof rack... has more lights... it can be found on the lynch hummer web site...for me i am adding a warn light bar to my grill guard with four more... two fogs and two 800footters!!!!
All in all the factory bar looks damn good if u ask around.... i would not want anything protruding off my roof like the mickey mouse lights!!!!! just my 2 cents.....

 

I have the XTC low profile light bar. It was installed at Hummer of Knoxville. The total bill was just under $1500. It has 4 PIAA driving lights that are bright as hell! With that beeing said I have never had offroad lights before these soI cannot really compair them to other setups. I will tell you this. At night when they are on you cannot look directly at the truck its just too damn bright. They give great side visibility as well.I have tinted window and at night when I am trying to manuver through a tight parking lot they are really great! also if you look up out of your sunroof at nightyou will notice they light up the forest canopy as well. In my opionio they are well worth it and they just look to damn good. Just take a look at my photo gallery!
