Locksmith, I hard the barrel keys are pretty easy for them to pick. Then they should be able to place a new lock with keys for you.

Thanks for the replys guys . I got it open by twisting about half turn to the right the cover comes of with the fuel tube assembly about 1 inch out . I took a flat head screwdriver broke a hole in the back where the lock is and unscrew the back of the lock and got it open. So I show up at work today told everyone about this to find out that one of my coworkers was sweeping the warehouse where i work at saw the key on the floor but did not ask or told anyone he saw it and just trew the key away :-( .....

Wow that's pretty **** poor! Not really sure why you would just throw a key away without mentioning it to anyone.

That thought was originally on my mind when I first bought mine. Then I figured for the price of the doors (which is ridiculous) and install time...the hell with it. If someone needs some gas that bad then go ahead and take it. I'll have OnStar bring me some more lol. Better than breaking through a locked door and still taking it.

Ya know.. down here on the gulf coast that used to be a pretty funny idea until back in 2005-2008 when the hurricanes hit up and down the gulf coast and people were in a panic for fuel.... I drove a diesel back then... womp womp womp.... plenty of diesel around...

anyways... having a locking fuel cap is always good.. any security measure like that is good....

better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it

Sorry but I disagree. Locks only keep honest people honest or a lazy criminal, lazy.
If some dirtbag really wants your fuel they'll do a lot of damage to your truck and still get it.

I do agree however I really think most scum bags are lazy pieces of shat. I have billet door buckets I still haven't installed and quite a few people say the same. Better to keep the plastic so they don't destroy your door, either way they'll get in.
