This guy is claiming to have the most rare H3 ever. The never seen before 2008 H3 Alpha OffRoad with the ONLY front "factory" installed locker ever.

What was the build date on this super rare H3?

I was avoiding posting the pics...
Didn't want to it to be like a police lineup.
"It that one officer! He's the one who shot JFK! Honest!"

I got a late 08 Alpha and it was the last one the dealer said he was going to order because GM was not supporting them. That was after I tried to order a Championship edition and American Axle was on strike for months.
I was concerned at that time there might not be any of the new 09 with rumored front lockers and so I grabbed this one. I only have rears but do know there is a sensor voltage that has to be present for it to allow engagement.
I guess there could have been a late 08 build that got a front locker and would be interesting to find out. OR someone stuck one in, did some wiring combinations and somehow went around the pcm or ecm or that bcm control and stuck in the updated switch panel but have it wired as just a direct switch with a relay? That could cause all kinds of combinations of engagement to be possible.
The cable connections are not the same on the switch arrays.
On models that came with this array I believe the stabiltrack switch was moved down to one of the vacant switch holes at the bottom of the center panel.
It's a mystery!

Hunner, I have spares of both switch arrays also and tried to plug the dual locker into our 08 Alpha which had the single locker and the plug would not fit. Neither would the single locker to the 10 Alpha which had dual lockers.

I'm very curious as to the nature of this "dual locker 08".

Default lets put this to bed

I found why may 08 alpha has front and rear lockers, the first owner was the son of dealership king of the northeast (Herb Chambers) He had his fathers Hummer dealership add the factory lockers to it for him. I brought the H3 with 25k on it look new. When I brought it, I was told it was a very special H3. now I know why.

Hmmm, wonder why daddy didn't just give him an 09 that had the lockers stock? The parts to complete the conversion wouldn't have been out until the 09 was out anyway. If they did it right they would have had to swap out more than a few components and hack into some of the wiring too.

A custom set up like that will not be covered under warranty unless you maybe take it to the dealer that did the conversion. Good luck.

That's where I brought it. This H3 is far from stock ( custom sound system,Navigation entertainment system and heated rear seat) When I first brought it I though a pro athlete owned it
