Locked Out with no power.. Help ..!

Hi guys
Just sent the H2 for its annual MOT and had a call from the garage saying that they can't get into the truck.
It was left unlocked with the keys left in the drivers door lock overnight..
In the morning the truck is locked.... The key fob won't open it up and the key turns in both drivers & passengers door with no resistance to open the locks..!

Anyone got any ideas as its blocking the MOT bay in the garage .
Thanks

Sounds like it's their problem, not yours.

Yeah I agree but just wanted to help them out as its a small local garage and would it back up and running soon.

If it were my responsibility, I would try to get some temporary power to the system. I'm not sure if you can access the positive red lead from the battery to the starter solenoid from underneath, but if you can then you could ground to the frame and pop the locks with the FOB.

Thats bizarre that both door locks dont work with the key. is the key unusually worn? do you have a spare?

No the key seems in good condition but the just turn with no resistance at all..!

I hope you get that solved soon...The only solid advice is to have the mechanic contact a near by GM dealership for assistance. If it's not nearby by then...it's not your problem per say. Someone must have obviously locked the doors while closing up and didn't realize that the vehicle had the keys inside. Maybe a porter for the mechanic? not sure....

Sounds like someone tried to slimjim the doors and janked the linkage off. Rod connects to the back of that lock goes down about 10" and twards the rear about 3".

Well had to smash the drivers window to get into the truck.
On inspection the lock barrels are not connected to anything that's why there is no resistance .!
Now the fob doesn't work so I'm hoping this doesn't happen again or I'll have to smash the window again.!
