Lighters
I bought a lighter assembly for my H3 the other day and looked through the papers last night to find you need a lighter socket removal tool to replace the socket to allow for the lighter itself... What a pain in the ass... Doesn't anyone use screws any more??

he's a firefighter, they all smoke. it's what allows them to walk around in burning buildings for hours with no mask, they're used to it. no leave us smokers alone . . .

RE: Lighters
I'm not a town or city firefighter I am an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter... I was also about the same in the US Navy for 5 years... I love Rescue me and while I'd love to claim it as real, it's not that exciting or dysfunctional... It may be in NY City due to 9/11 and the local aftermath but where I am it is a bit more business like and the women are a bit less promiscuous... The funny thing is, Denis Leary is from my city and originally got into fire fighting / hanging with firefighters because of a fire we had here in December of 1999... 6 of our fire fighters died and just about everything else changed overnight... Denis got involved wanting to help immediately and remained involved through 9/11... That was the second horrible blow to fight fighting in the general area and the two kinda pushed him into it... One of the 6 we lost was a cousin of Leary so all in all he got a deep look into something he very well might have done had he not made in as an entertainer... Rescue Me seems to me to be a very sincere attempt to make sense of something that never really will be fully understandable... I've been doing this work since 1982 and I still don't understand what dives people into or through it... For a young man just getting started in the 95-97 period, his life might be much more like this show than would mine but so far, other than a few drinking problems, I am not really sure where the drug abuse stuff comes from... I've never met a fire fighter with a drug problem...
On the lighter, I want to have it more than use it... Lots of people still smoke in my area (and yes me too) and you never know when you might need a lighter... Why they would make the vehicle without one is a mystery to me... |
RE: Lighters
does it come with an ashtray? that's a $15 option on the H2, they put it in one of the cupholders, so then you can only drive with one open beer.[sm=badidea.gif]
