Life span of belt and hoses

Changing out Anti-freeze on my H3 and started to think about hoses and belt. My H3 will be 7 years old in January and has 46,000 miles. I am the original owner and it is garage kept, belt and hoses look good but I am wondering about replacement. Any thoughts?

It is recommended to change the belt at 45,000. I don't know about hoses. I have never just replaced a hose unless I notice damage or cracking.

Actually, if you LOOK at the owner's manual, the belt is the last thing listed under "Additional Required Services" and states to "Inspect engine accessory drive belt." at 150,000 miles.

They easily go more than 100K if they have never been damaged from an oil or coolant leak.

I just keep an extra on board, ready to go whenever.

Rule if thumb on inspection, if there are cracks in the ribbed side closer that 3/8" together, time to replace.

Hoses, strictly inspect and replace when needed. I have a car with 42 year old original hoses. I just did an alternator on Mom's 18 year old Pontiac, original hoses and I had changed the belt about 6 years ago, all good. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

That is weird doc. mine said 45,000 miles. Maybe I read it wrong. I'm going to have to reread.
