Immitation is the greatest form of flattery: I purchased the skid plate emblem in Shale Blue Metallic

How do you like your SMA catback exhaust?

Thinking of picking that one up as well, is it true though that even with reindexed keys and longer shocks that you still are reducing the life of other front suspension components. I was thinking of picking a set up off of ebay and just purchasing longer shocks but the guy that was going to do the install told me that I still run the risk of breaking something else.

After speaking to the guys at Truxx and KodiacCustoms (who will be installing it for me), by utilizing the re-indexed keys there is no need for longer shocks, larger coils, or anything else. The entire system will essentially remain stock and just change the anchor points, hence raising the body 2" without placing any stress on anything else. This is why I personally have chosen to go this route ($$$) instead of just tightening the torsion bars (free). I am afraid, and possibly irrationally so, that tightening the bars will have some negative effect which may surface later. Note that if you do chose to tighten the bars you will need an alignment and longer shocks to compensate for the extension without hurting ride quality.

After Turning my bars 2.5 times I measured my ride hight like the truxxx
instrutions said and I am at 23.5 inches. Could someone with a stock truck
measure there truck. Also try both sides and see how much of a tilt It has???????

What length Bilstein 5100 did you buy to be 2 inches longer than the stock ones? How are they measured? Fully extended off the vehicle?

Will putting the 2" extenders on the front shock effect it off road, like the thin part of the extender bending or am I just crazy?

I have spoken to 6 different performance shops in my area (yes, a bit anal but I wanted to do ample research prior to making the purchase) as well as my dealership and they all said not to tighten the torsion bars. They equated it to being like a rubber band and by over-tightening them you can do more damage than good. I'd rather take the risk of breaking the extention kit off-roading than adjusting the factor set up by turning my bars................now, there are many, very different opinions in this forum about this very topic and people are adamant about it similar to religion.

{I'll now brace myself for the smackdown - shortbus- dilo- dennis- etc.}

I also have heard that in the long run turning the torsion bars would cause problems but i have not heard of anybody yet. I too don't like the way the H3 looks with the frony lower so i was going to get the extentions, that is until I saw the Rancho lift kit and i might just save up for that. If I get the extension before the lift, is it a pain in the butt to instal? and could I just print out the instructions you posted and bring it with me when i get the tire alignment done?
