LED taillight not blinking
So I've had the common ebay available LED taillights installed for about 4 months now and my RH side will not blink when you have the right turn signal engaged, also doesnt blink with emergency lights on. Aside from the blink not working everything else works fine.
Anyone had to deal with this before and specifically with LEDs?
Things I've done to narrow it down to the unit itself:
- swapped resistor with the LH side, same problem on the RH side
- swapped lights, moved RH To LH and moved LH to RH, problem stayed with the RH unit (rules out the wiring I suppose)
Aside from giving in and buying another pair of lights, I dont know what else to try.

after doing a bunch of research I found some forums talking about replacing the signal flasher with a newer one that can support LEDs.
I'm purchasing this from autozone tomorrow Novita/Turn Signal Flasher (LM487) | AutoZone.com
Novita/Hazard Warning Flasher
Saw at least one youtube video of another GM (03 suburban) which fixed his lights doing this.
We'll see tomorrow!

well no luck with that ;(
I decided to put on my stock lights that I have tinted. Also used LED bulbs instead of the old regular bulbs. Least everything works this way and the LEDs still give it a much deeper display

SOLVED!!!!!!!!
SO.... after i used the LED BULBS + stock housing my remote start stopped working. I also started having hyperflash, turn signal blinking too fast. Remote starter would turn on for 2 seconds and then shut off. Diagnoses from the shop said there was feedback coming from somewhere (aka led bulbs) and it was triping the brake wire which shuts down the remote start system.
So research showed adding resistors would fix the hyper flash, I ordered and installed from amazon "RHX 4pcs Load Resistor Fix LED Bulb Fast Flash Turn Signal Blink Blinker 50W 6ohm" for 9$
This fixed the blinking and the remote start, my next thought was hmmm I wonder if these additional resistors (two on each tail light = 1 for red bulb, 1 for amber bulb, none for reverse bulb) would fix my non-blinking issue with the LED HOUSINGS that I originally bought and gave up on.. plugged them and VOILA!! they work perfect....
IN SHORT -- for ANY type of LED lights, add resistors if you have problems. in this case, the LED housings came with their own resistors and I verified they were working, however it wasnt enough I guess for whatever reason!

Interesting, do you have a link for the resistors? Are they covered/protected? Light resistors usually get hot as hell and that's why I haven't added them on mine. My lights also had a resistor box which for 06+ the instructions said not to plug in but without them the lights worked worse than they do now.

I read they get hot but i dont see any issues as they are just hanging in the space behind the tail light.
I'm not sure what went wrong with this rightside housing, it worked fine for about 4 months then that's when the no blinking started.
