LED Tail lights
I designed an LED tail light mainly for Jeep Wranglers and trucks but as most H-1 Owners know the tail lens is the same
Im looking for some feedback on the H-1 tail lights and the Bulbs. Ive only spoken to one person and I was told the H-1 has the 3157 Flat bottom bulb and not the typical 1156-1157 round push and twist style bulb but I was told today that the older ones are 1156-1157 style. would anyone know what style bulbs are for certain years before I take the trip down to the Hummer dealer by me and bother the parts guy for 15 minutes LOL.
If you'd like to see the lights I made a quik basic site www.TruckLEDlights.com its not a selling site just for information, the Jeep one is for selling them and has a quick 60 installation video because thats how long it takes REAL TIME to install them. Any Feedback is GREATLY appreciated guys thanks - Josh the Stereo guy in Hicksville turned me on to this site hes got the CRAZY Everything blacked out H-1

I know there is [or was?] a big issue with LED tail lights on an H1. It's not just a plug and play operation, the Hummer uses a resistance check on the brake lights for some items.. ABS and cruise control which may start acting eratic on some trucks.
AM General released a factory upgrade kit with a new flasher/relay, wiring harnes and new enclosed lights for around $179, it took them 1-2 months to track down the problems with installing them on the older trucks, and they released a small kit to fix that.
The newer H1's have LED's from the factory so it is a non issue there I believe.

Mine has the resistor installed that works on the fast flash problem which means it puts the same resistance an 1157 bulb would, my question is are they the 1156 & 1157 Push and twist bulbs though so my adaptors will fit, or is it the 3156-3157 Push in bulbs ?
