Finally got the roof bar and grill lights installed
Just test it and the light output is impressive The 2 led lights are tilted down . More to light up 15 ft in front the truck The roof bar goes about 500 ft easily . It is an Auxbeam 52 inches straight bar with 300 w flood and spot . Attachment 9349 Attachment 9350 Attachment 9351 Attachment 9352 Attachment 9353 |
Looks nice! I like how you have it mounted on the cross rails. My truck doesnt have the cross rails so i have been trying to figure out how to mount one.
Did you get your other electrical issues solved? |
The guy told me there are a brackets which could be mounted on the side behind the doors .
Also he said that a hole could be drilled on the roof which I wouldn't do it . If yo go for the side bracket make sure the light is wide enough to fit . The 52 doesn't get to the side as you can see |
Those drl's look nice where'd you buy them?

I bought the cover , cut the outside drill couple holes on the legs run a wire on the side to the back and attached to the screws It came out so good that even in the accessories shop the guy was wondering how I manage to install a fog lamp in there If you see it close it is cheap but unless pay very good attention it looks like a fog lamp |
awesome work dude!

that looks nice where did you get the lightbar from ???
|
How's the wind noise from it?
|
I got it directly from auxbeam . Much cheaper than amazon . They were offering a coupon ending paying around 170 if I remember
So far no problem with wind , I read lot of complains about the lamp whistling but I guess it may be the side mounting bracket Which I didn't use |
Nice one. Looks like a good alternative to expensive Rigids. Keep us posted regarding the durability of your LEd bar.
|
I got an auxbeam one and no problems touch wood, bought it middle of last year. I have mine mounted on the front of an oem roof bar. You do get some noise with the sunroof open but not noticeably more than with the existing bars on there. Well pleased for the money. Rigid look well made, but how often are you driving around with them on to justify 5-8x the cost. Didn't use the existing side brackets, had someone fab some up.

Amazon.com: JDM ASTAR 1200 Lumens Extremely Bright 144-EX Chipsets 3056 3156 3057 3157 LED Bulbs with Projector , Xenon White: Automotive
)which works very good but the light output isnt impressive. It helps but I dont think it os a huge difference. I got it mostly to match the 6000k from the headlight You can just replace the bulbs for the LED but If you need extra real light then go for the work lights such as the one I had installed on the grill ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00G6...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) Those are powerful . The one I got from Amazon are great but I will replace it for the Auxbeam when have a chance to match the roof bar |
I really liked the way this guy mounted a smaller bar in the grille. I've never seen it done anywhere else on the 'net.

Led light bar
Thanks for the pics!
|
It is a really cool lightbar here. I've recently got a 24 inch LED lightbar from http://www.ledoutfitters.com website for my car, and I want to install it today. I hope it will give me such good results too :)

Check out G2 Leds | G2 Led lights they have some nice brackets for H2's

@H2Miami
What kind of roof bar have you mounted the LED light bar to? Saw on your pics that the first of the three roof bars has 4 rectangle holes in the front - is that one of the original H2 bars or aftermarket? Thanks Lars |

Thanks Lars I just attached with screws the Light bar to the roof bar using the provided brackets That way no extra high clearence needed when going in tight space Btw I just came from Tennessee mountains where I use the ligth a LoT and I can tell you it is great , Check the video.. The cam doesn't make justice to how long ahead you can really see with the bar on I strongly recommend this brand . Auxbeam And I got it from their website which was a few bucks cheaper than even Amazon |
+1 for auxbeam. Am running a 50" also...
