LED interior light conversion, 2 Q's?

2005 H2 SUV, have run into two 'issues' I'm hoping I can get the answers to.

Map lights, center console above dash: Pulled out the original bulbs and the reflectors also came out. I spent entirely too much time trying to figure out how to reinstall the reflector with the replacement LED bulb, and was never able to do it. The LED's are a larger diameter than the OEM incandescent bulbs, bigger than the hole in the reflector. I tried installing the bulb thru the reflector and it pulls the reflector too far up in the light housing. I've left the reflectors off for now....

Footwell lights on bottom of pillar between front and rear seat: Are these supposed to pry out like the courtesy lights in the doors? I've pried as much as I feel comfortable and feel like I'm on the verge of snapping the cover, which seems extra brittle after 11 years......

Man, these seems like silly questions once I re-read them:)

Leave the reflectors out. LED's are directional light where as halogens need the reflectors to direct the light.

Those foot lights are a bear to get out but yes they do pry out. There were many times when I was sure something was going to break. I would do it when its warmer so the plastic isn't as brittle. Considering I doubt you could ever find a replacement lens it may be safer to remove the entire pillar trim.
