Default Leather seat covers

I want to replace my cloth seats with leather and I see the kits on ebay from time to time, does anyone have any idea how hard these would be to install yourself or it it should be taken to an Upholstery shop? And if I take it to a shop for the installation any gueses on the cost ?

I bought a replacement set for one of my H1s but haven't put it on yet. I ask another guy how long it should take and his answer was: 30 seconds...about how long it would take him to write a check to the trim shop. Not much help I know. When I get down with mine I'll post on it.

My Tactical came with cloth seats and I inquired with the dealer about a leather seat install. He quoted me $1200 for the seat package and install. After you pay $700+ for the package and try to remove the old seat covers and install the new ones, I think the $500 is probably well spent. My $.02

I couldn't give you an actual cost for an H3, but A good friend had seat covers installed in his accord by a local shop. They installed the front/rear covers and did the door panel inserts for 200.00 (this is also the same price i was quoted for my Jetta) Hope this Helps. BTW, the second kit you posted is dope. The color looks great with the 2 tone interior.

I emailed the folks that are selling the new sets on eaby and they said they charge 375.00 for the install. They are in OAKLAHOMA CITY so I'm sure it's more expensive here in Los Angeles unless I make a trip across the border to Mexico

heat em up good, sit em by the heater vent for a couple days, try to work in a heated shop if at all possible and let your seats get worm as well, just from sitting inside will do,take your old ones off by starting at the bottom and pulling up,it will end up inside out which is what you want.take your new ones and turn them inside out.start at the top and work your way down.sometimes you will have to beat them to get them to sit correctly, just whack them with your hands.walla.thats pretty much it
