Well, this past Monday (06-02-15), the rain stopped and my back wasn't acting up, I decided to replace my cat converter. Took most of the day but I was lucky and didn't break any studs. One quick trip to my local AZ to pick up a torch to heat the nuts was just what it took. Not a fun project but glad to have it done.
Also, found and fixed a rattle underneath that has been driving me crazy when I take off from a stop. It was the bar shield under the transfer case that was making the noise. It has to come out to replace the converter so I checked it, one side of the bars was broke loose. A little bit of mig weld, good as new.

 

So, I have a slight leak coming from my passenger side on my 08... And the stock muffler is pretty rusted and when started seems to leak some water right out the bottom so I know I need to replace that already.

my question is since I was going to do the exhaust, should I just go ahead and do headers as well? I wanted to use Long tubes but then Id have to have Cats fabbed up to work with them and then connect to the stock style cat-back exhaust so was leaning towards shorties...

Short headers>Stock style cats>exhaust (Borla I think)

 

The factory manifolds are basically shorty headers. From what I've read it is a waste of money unless going long tube.
