Default Key won't open door on H3 2006

Battery is dead. Fob won't work. Key won't turn left. Although the key will turn right, nothing happens. Won't unlock. I can't get into vehicle. Ideas?

Did you buy it used? If you know the key is correct for the door, then lube the lock and try again.

Hook a 12v power supply up to your towing wiring harness, slowly charge the battery through there. When battery charges enough use the fob.

Thanks Doc Olds and rsc.
Yes, I just bought it used. 99,000 miles, 1-owner, $14K
I lubed the lock and then key opened door. When I tried to start the engine, battery was dead and key was stuck in the ignition. Then jumped the battery, let it juice up, and the key could be removed.
Next, I'm having a new battery installed, adding Stinger terminals, and a battery maintenance charger (1.5 volt) that I can plug into my garage outlet, for when the truck is not driven. Thanks again for quick replies!

Sounds like you have it covered. Good news.
