Yes, if wired up correctly with the included wiring harness you will retain your factory OnStar functionality. If you're using it for calls and have a bluetooth enabled phone, the head unit can completely replace your need to use OnStar to make calls as the stereo will work right through your phone.

If you're just using it for the emergency features those will also be retained.

Of what? It's a double din stereo, if you've seen one out of the dash you've seen them all. That's how it looks in the dash, and as I no longer own the vehicle that's all I've got of it installed.

Did you have something in mind that you would like to see?

Kenwood Excelon DNX9960 Navigation receiver at Crutchfield.com

video there showing different menus. Hell you can even replace the default navigation symbol for your current location w/ a little hummer.

KenwoodForums.com • Index page has a bunch of good threads for these receivers on the different **** you can customize/hack.

The current navigation symbol on the unit is a white Hummer.
