Default Just Installed my PCM after the upgrade !!! WOW !!

Just got my PCM back from pcmforless , and let me tell you,, haha,,

Seriously I notice a big difference. I do have the K&N CAI and Gibson exhaust, and I think the tune helps with that, and the shifts are real quick, its great. I can't believe i waited this long.

I will do a goodmpg checkwhen i fill up the tank and see if there is a difference.

I'm hoping to receive mine tomorrow and I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

my guess is that it'll go down for a while as you play and enjoy. More fun power to use, heavier foot. I didn't see a mpg change myself in the long run but it sure is nicer to drive.

I live about 20 minutes from these guys. I have been meaning to plan a trip up there and get them to do an actual dyno tune for mine. If I ever do it, I'll post results.

A quick question......Does this PCMforless tune void the factory warranty? I have an '06 that has not had any head replacement/bad valve problems yet, and I want this tune, but I don't want to get the tune then have the valve go bad and take it in to get the fix and have them flash the computer and tell me it's not covered because I was running a tune.

So, does this tune void the factory warranty?

Thanks,

Jason.

How or why. As has been said many times, the PCM is not altered externally. The dealer service doooods cannot tell it has been done with what they have at the dealership, so how??

Do not create an issue where none exists, my Grandfather used to say. So, unless you go in to the dealer with a major problem and tell them you had a PCM tune they would be none the wiser.

The tune (overly simplified for brevity) just changes timing, ignition and VVT, fuel mixtures, spark curve, auto trans. shifting etc., and out of literally 100s that have been done, have you heard one person say my PCM tune did __________ to my engine/drive train??

In order for GM to decline warranty, they have to prove that your modification caused the damage, not just point at it and say no, no. For more see my old thread
New Vehicle Warranty Rights--check it out and others thru the search.

I would like to hear more about the tranny shifting. I can't stand the lazy shifting with the stock programing.
