I have heard some people talkin about being able to buy some cables to hook up your iPhone/iPod,if there is such a thing where can I find one and will it hook up to the single disc unit, or do you need the changer unit?

 

If your sticking to factory the way it works is to replace the XM tuner with an ipod interface that you can then control via the head unit. Most of these are cobbled together junk that while mostly functional in most cases leave a lot to be desired. If your seriously looking you need to know exactly what your controlling if you need charging capabilities and the like. The newer iPhones will not charge with many of the controllers out there right now.
