Default Interface Cable for music

Hey. Any of you ever added an interface cable to hook your iPod or Zune into your stereo system? I want to do this and was wondering how hard it is to do. I have an '05 that does NOT have the navigation system. I think what I need to do is plug this cable into the auxillary power of the radio then...into the Zune. Lemme know if anyone has any input about how hard this'll be. Thanks!!!!

Have you looked at the Harmon Kardon iDrive? The older version is about $25.00 on ebay. I put one on my Harley. My Buddy put one in his Jeep. It uses a FM Modulator between the antenna plug and the Stereo.

I have an FM modulator, but I do a lot of driving and when I get to an area where the radio signal is used by an actually radio station, I get a bunch of static and need to move to another radio signal.

I just ordered an interface through Crutchfield for my 03 H2, the phone rep was very helpful.

I bought the Peripheral Gateway for my 2008 h2. Works nice. You can use the ipod controls or do everything from the radio. I just throw the ipod in the glove box and use the radio controls.

The soundgate product is a complete POS. Ioriginaly had it and sent it back. The controls andradio displaydidn't always work and the stupid thing would alternate between XM and ipod every 2 seconds if you left it on when you cut theHummer off (and then back on). The only thing you could do is pull over andturn the radio off before restarting the engine.

Co-sign on the Peripheral...it's been a god-sent ever since I installed it in mySUV.I'm an Iphone user and I'm able to access all my music without and listen to it through my factory speakers without any noticable audio interference (like engine noise)..how great is that. Definitely recommended.
