Installing Remote Start on 2006 Hummer H3

Howdy,

I'm a professional mobile electronics installer out of Fort Worth.
I thought I'd post about the mods I'm doing to my 2006 hummer h3.

I never ever recommend that average DIYers attempt remote start installs themselves but you're going to do what you want anyway so you might as well have as much info as you can get so it won't be as badly screwed up when you end up giving up and taking it to a professional installer.

Hummers have wonky security systems as it is and I've found this one to be pretty tough. Most installs take me 4 hours - this one took me 8.

I've attached the wiring diagram and will be updating with pictures once I get it all soldered in and pretty looking.

I chose an Autopage C3-RS730LCD with a Crimestopper Passlock 2 interface. It's not an amazing system by any means but $100 is all I wanted to spend for now so I can do some exterior mods as well.

I ran the 12v constants directly to the battery using 12 gauge wire. I saw the absolutely wretched factory top post connectors and decided to upgrade those to nice brass connectors and soldered them. (I love soldering - so shiny)

what shop do you work for

I own Autohlic Detail Services (A.D.S.) in Burleson - if you're familiar with the area.
We mostly specialize in vehicle paint restoration but I leave that to my workers and install cool toys on cars.

Passlock Bypass

Well I got it all installed but was having the infamous voltage instability issues with the immobilizer bypass module. So I went ahead and used tech doc 1603 and wired it up. I've attached the doc - hopefully it'll help any DIYers avoid totally screwing up the electronics.

Instead of posting in an OLD thread asking for a PM, JUST PM the OP. He was last here Dec 2014.

BTW, thumbnails is as big as they be, one size only, pics have to be linked from a full size on line url location to be made bigger.
