Installing Husky mud flaps

I picked up the Husky mud flaps for my new H3 and went to install them. There are caps inside the wheel well where the screws for the mud guards should go. I don't want to just pull out the caps but they aren't coming out at all. How do I get these out so I can install the mud guards??

I put on the GM splash guards a couple days ago. I just used a hammer to pry out those snaps. It looked like they weren't going to come out, as they were already a 1/4 inch out and not making much more progress. But that's the point where the snap actually catches, and does something. Just keep prying past that point and it'll come out.

Leave your engine running when you do the front flaps, you'll definitely need to turn the wheels both directions for each side to fit a drill in there.

For my splash guards I used 1 snap for each corner to hold the flaps in, if you have to, DON'T HAMMER THEM BACK IN. Just press in with your thumb. I hammered my first one in(rear passenger side) and the head of it split into pieces. I'm sure it's useless now, but the flap is primarily held in with the supplied screws.

Yeah those snaps suck, but unfortunately you have to kind of man handle them out, I have the husky mud flaps also. It's like once you put them on you kind of have to leave them on because of what you have to do to put the fronts on

Can any of you post pics with these mudflaps? Since moving up to 35's I keep mud and road film all over the sides. A good clean up doesn't last very long...

I have the stock molded mud flaps...you will get street grime either way. :)
