Bought some tail light guards off of a forum member and I finally got around to installing them. I did a bit of modification to them first, but I'm not sure if I like it, so I may just get some rattle can bedliner and spray over them.

Installed on to the tail light housing



Installed the housing back on the truck like normal

 

The 3 might stand out more in black but it still looks cool.

That's one of the red Tactical Edition H3's.

It looks real good. I put smoked out tail lights on my black tactical, but the red goes good with your paint.

 

I bought the handles off of a forum member and the gas cap is the GM chrome cover that I covered with Plasti-Dip.

I wish it was a tactical edition. It would have saved me a lot of effort! lol

Mine is actually just a normal luxury edition, but I have slowly modified it, so that it looks like a tactical edition. I even bought some badges, but I haven't put them on yet. I'm going to wait till it's warmer, so I don't have any issues with them staying on, since I don't have a garage.

 

Well, ****. You sure as hell fooled me and I actually have a tactical edition. They never put the badges on mine and I have since debadged the vehicle for a cleaner look. I'm not sure if I would want to put the TE badges on at this point.

I got a print out from the dealership saying my VIn had the package installed, though.

Perosnally I'd take a Dremel and get rid of the "3" altogether.

 

I agree that the 3 would stand out more if you had left it black...

BUT>> I personally think you should get smoked taillights or tint yours and leave the 3 red. Then it would stand out more, it would would look nice with your black and red color combo. 2¢
