Default Idle Question

I've now had the 2 for a few months and at idle it started to hiccup like my 3 did when I needed the whole new head gaskets..RPM's dip down randomly. Some worse than the others or more frequently.
I cleaned the TB and MAF and air filter really good and its still the same..No codes are being thrown currently which is different from my 3 experience..It is an 06' with 84K miles.. I'm hoping it's just plugs, wires or coils but with no codes being thrown what would you all do next to troubleshoot?

Thanks again,

Could be a number of things.
Bad gas or plugs/wires would be my 1st guess. Look under the hood in darkness see if you see a spark jump.
The coils either work or they dont just FYI. There are some cars making 1k+ HP on stock coils.

mine started to idle a bit rough and I changed plugs/wires that did it for me, I tried cleaning everything first like you did and changed fuel filter, didn't run better until I changed plugs/wires, also may want to try your favorite fuel system cleaner for a few tanks, I use lucas

Thanks for the tips. I've done the lucas fuel cleaner usually once a month or so.
I'll do the plugs and wires and hopefully that will get it back to normal.. 84K is close enough to 100K for me as GM recommends changing them then.

Thanks again..

Dang I called a few places just to see if I could get the plugs and wires done for decent price, and everywhere has quoted my $450-$550 just for plugs/wires/install.. Craziness..
I can get all the OEM parts for $101 + shipping, so looks like I'll be doing this too...I wish mechanic places would start charging reasonable prices.

They are not hard at all.
Look on rockauto.com for OEM parts.
Or Advanced Auto always has coupon codes online.

Just an update, got the plugs and wires(AC Delco) and did the job and saved $350-$450 on labor I was being quoted).. As signal25 mentioned, it wasn't bad and I usually start projects and get frustrated and take em to someone to finish. It took about 1.5 hours as I took my time. But it was nice to get this one done and best of all, the idle dips and stutters so far seem to be gone now.

Also the plugs that were in their already were the Bosch Iridium, which I've heard some on the forum talk bad about.. I guess the owner before me changed the plugs out already even though it only has 84K miles on it.. I'm assuming those plugs or the factory wires were causing my problems.
