I got two rock chips in one day

I just got a hummer H3 last week and today and got 2 rock chips. Have to replace the windshield, anyone have any solution to this problem. Like a part or product to buy. Thanks in advance for your help

I have a ton of rock chips. For the body if you want to throw down some money, there is 3m protectant covering they make. The windshield is much tougher to protect. I also have a nice mark on my window from a truck kicking up the winter rocks.

I had never had that happen until this past winter. A rock cracked the window in my '07 Silverado twice - 2nd time was just a week after glass was replaced!

I've had 6... first one was at 500 miles... I call my insurance, they send a guy to the house, he fixes it... no charge. part of comprehensive... I use Shelter insurance.

Just one of the perks of having a near vertical windshield... look at any Hummer, Scion, or FJ in parking lots... they'll have them too.

They always are advertisig that you don't have to replace the whole window and you don't have to use your insurance deductible against the cost because it so cheap, I have glass coverage myself, never used it. (knocking on wood)
I think they heat up the window and fuse it....somehow

I got 2 rock chips in one day! It happened during a down pour on the highway...stupid road patch work rocks! I dont know exactly what we can all do about it either besides either replace the windshield (cuz our windshield is almost vertical). Wonder if there is a way to replace the glass with some sort of plastic/ lexan material....

a custom bug deflector?

Sometimes a bug shield on the front of the hood will prevent those. Like people have said the biggest issue is our vertical windshields, Range Rovers get them all the time as well.
