Hummer Research
I'm a college student and I'm doing a project about reinventing the Hummer brand. I am trying to compile some research on people's opinions about the brand. I've created a very short survey with some general questions, and any feedback would be much appreciated.
The survye can be found here: <a href="http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JKT9N2T">Click here to take survey</a>
Thank You

We get one or two of these a year. Not sure where the information goes, if anywhere. I am sure it is not a GM executive. They didn't know what to do with the Hummer brand before and the executive talent level there hasn't gotten any better since Obama had his pick installed at the top of the idiot heap at GM. Bought an F-350 crew cab diesel 4x4 dually instead of the 3500 Duramax/Allison combo because I refuse to spend my money with GM. They screwed over every Hummer customer they had with the way they handled the sale/no sale of Hummer. They cost all of us thousands of dollars in resale/trade-in value with their incompetent bumbling handling of the sale/no sale. They had offers to buy Hummer from domestic purchasers after the Chinese sale fell through. ( who ever got that deal in the first place? ) GM chose to kill the one brand they had that was a market segment leader. Why would I reward a company like that with my continued loyalty and hard earned money...I won't.
Has anyone taken the survey? If the person is serious he/she should come back and explain the reasoning for this a bit more.
I agree with the above post. Last year we had the chance to purchase a brand new 2010 H3 Alpha. Test drove it a few times. But, because of all the negative press about the sale/no sale and the inability to have someone at the dealership actually help us at that time we declined. Why give my hard earned money to GM?
Fast forward several months and I always regretted not buying the H3 Alpha. Nothing I test drove had the same feel to it (Lexus, Range Rover ect). So we went on a search for the exact model and color I wanted. Every time I found one it was sold right away. Not sure if it is because of the Alpha or not.
A year to the date we found one in Arizona. The exact color and model.
And the dealership was there the best experience. So we drove out and bought it and drove it home and I am really happy with it.
The price on the 2010 Alpha seems to be holding its own at around 40-43k.
The GM dealerships here in Southern California wanted nothing to do with the sale of a Hummer 3 and the attitude has not changed.
