If you have seen how it is glued down then you would know there is no way of getting it off without damage.

I have seen it glued down. I was told it is silicone. What kind of glue exactly is it? Where were you informed that it will damage either the paint or louver? I take it as just an assumption?

I got a 2010. Are these glued down at the factory now? I haven't looked. I was thinking about replacing mine w/a louver w/handles like the H2 but that may be out of the question now.

Someone screwed you if that happened to you. LOL. They not only removed mine all in one piece but cleaned it up too since I asked to keep it. Not even a scratch let alone paint chip.

I would guess a heat gun or maybe even a hair dryer would provide enough heat for you loosen the glue. Then use the fishing line technique like when removing emblems.
