Hummer H3 with Vertical Doors
 

Hello,

I'm looking to get a vertical door kit (lamborghini style) for my H3. I've been searching around and I'm just wondering if anyone knows how I would go about having these installed? Most sites say professional installation is recommended, but would any regular mechanic know how to install them or am I going to have to find some type of special installation place?

I would recommend taking it to a quality "custom" body shop. Pay close attention to the methods used to lengthen the wiring harnesses (solder connections) and wire management issue related to the operation of the door hardware. That will make or break the install. I did my 2006 300C SRT8 and it took me 11 days working at night in my garage to do my own. The front clip had to be removed to do the install. I would also recommend finding the "Best Quality" kit available. I used LSD (KW) as it is the only one that was side impact test and listed. Good Luck. PM me if you need anymore info.
