Hummer back ordered on replacement factory DVD players
 

Hey all,
I have an 06 H2 with factory DVD and headrest monitors. Last month one of my monitors lost dvd signal. I took it in to Hummer dealer and they told me the center consul DVD players are no longer being produced by former GM supplier due to bankruptcy and they have no more parts they are on backorder.
Scary to think what else might soon be hard to get.

There are so many Hummers I think there will always be someone who will offer replacement parts. They may not be OEM, but then again they might be even better than OEM parts.

I would not miss my center console DVD player a bit. IMO, it's a huge waste of storage space in the console. I've owned my H2 for 1-1/2 years and I have yet to use it. But then, I don't have kids, either.

hey!! dont despare! Remember....all suppliers are BY LAW supposed to furnish parts for 5 or 7 years after build date. If its military its supposed to be available for 10 years.

They will pop up eventually!
