HOW/WHERE DO I GET A PCM TUNE???
Everybodys talking about them in hereand it seems like most people have them... How do I get that done? I found a Jet Chip and it either a stage on for stock or mostly stock, or a stage 2 that needs a lower thermostat and something else. IS that the PCM tune? I'm confused....
A PCM tune is not a "chip" of any kind. I went with PCMforless. There are other companies, some with very similar names, that do the tunes as well.
Start by taking a look at this http://www.pcmforless.com/index.php?...&Itemid=40
go to their install page http://www.pcmforless.com/install/h3.pdf and that should answer all your questions.
Most of us did the loaner program, but there are two other options to choose from (core and send yours in).

I don't know about added HP, probably a few but not a huge amount, but there is much better driveability with the tune by pcmforless. The shift points are MUCH better programmed so highway acceleration and merges are much easier. I figure if I added 15 hp between intake, exhaust and pcm tune I'd be lucky. That may even be a bit generous.
The PCM tune itself will get you in the neighborhood of 12HP and 13TQ at 5100RPM with the 3.5L, a little more with and intake and Cat back if you have the tune set for those. I believe you will also see those numbers move up by one (maybe 2) with the 3.7L.
IMO more importantly you get what alrock said, "drivability" improvement. The trans shift points, kick down, and firmness make a BIG difference.
Let us know what you think after you check it out MN.

Ahh I see... Well I know that with my last truck I baught a power programmer and changing the shift points was a really nice hcnage so if this is anything like that I will like it!
I traded for an Alpha but I have a PCM for less tune in a core for my 06 I-5. It did improve driving andgreatly reducedthe constant down shifting when towing. I guess it has to be sent back and have the $50 retune to get the vin changed and then you would have to get a CASE learn done after installTakes 5 minutes if you are in with someone that will do it with a tech II. $75 to a good home with the knowledge.
I was one of the first here to have mine Done..Best MOD I have done..but it goes hand in hand with a CAI and Cat-back exhaust to get the full benifit from the tune..Kelly and Alvin are truely pros at this.
It looks like you've done everything but the cat-back exhaust. I installed aBilly Boat(B&B) exhaustapproved by GM and has a GM part number. GMPartsDirect was having a clearance sale when I bought mine.
