looking for any one who has taken off shifter handle so i can remove the top of the center console for some fresh paint got it totally loose just couldnt figure how to get it over shifter 03 h2

 

There is a small hole on the front of the shifter handle, inside there is a screw that needs to come out. I dont remember what kind of head it has but most likely it's a torx head. Once the screw is out pull the shifter handle off.

 

yea, its a torx...had it off last week.

it is a T15 torx, set screw that goes thru the handle to the steel shift shaft.
