Easiest way that I discovered was replacing the headunit with one that supports bluetooth

Joe,

I would recommend contacting your local dealer for more information. They should be able to assist in letting you know how best to approach this project. Please feel free to keep me posted. Thank you.

Joe, I would suggest that you ignore any and all posts by Tricia. Usually she posts the exact same reply about emailing her your VIN, model/year, etc and then contacting the dealer. (I'm surprised that this one was not a normal cut and paste response! )
I don't think a single person has said that she personally helped them with anything and for most people the reason for coming here researching a problem was to avoid the dealer in the first place! There are a number of threads on here about how to upgrade the H3 to bluetooth. Most if not all involve a new head unit and wiring harness adaptor. Sorry I can't give you much more info about it as I'm not interested in doing it myself but have read a couple of How-To threads just for personal interest and maybe remembering something later.

I have a 2010 H3T, with Nav, Xm, Bluetooth, & Onstar. Before you try and upgrade to a 2010 head unit, you should know it does not support bluetooth stereo via phone, mp3 or any other device. The bluetooth system in the H3 is quite lame. It is connected to the head unit as a separate unit behind/underneath the head unit, but only works for phone calls through your speakers. I was quite dissapointed.
