Hi
With the rear door being side hinged how do you haul long pieces of wood??
I used to leave the rear open (on previous SUV's) but looks like that will be alot more difficult.

Any suggestions??

Good question, I been there and done that. If there is a few I put it in the car on an angle and let it sit out the passenger window, if u have alot if goes on the roof rack. If u dont have a roof rack be sure to get a strong wrap and die it down on the roof. (bubble wrap works best for the roof.)

 

Cut it in half and put it inside?

 

And...You can always try the old Red neck trick of hanging it under the truck suspended from the tow loops. It works if you don't have too far to go.

That is one area I think GM really dropped the ball on the h3....making the rear glass lift up wouldn't of been all that hard to do.

 

The molding that I picked up for the fireplace piece that I did last weekend was 9 ft. I put the rear seats down, layed it gently onto the center of the dashboard and it fit, barely.

Don't be mistaken like I was, I layed it in there first ontop of the arm console as far forward as possible. Looked at the back, saw that it cleared the outer line on the trim (used to Dodge, that means that it clears the door) and then tried to shut the door. Well, lets just say that I thought that I busted the radio or 4x4 buttons to crap. Luckily no damage
