Host of issues
hi everyone im having quite a few problems with this h2
the menu on the the guage cluster keeps scrolling through like im holding down the button, the service air suspension warning pops up, the service 4wd turns on intermitantly and the the buttons for it only lock and unlock 4wd hi and low when the truck is in neutral. the truck also has the problem of intermitantly going into a low power mode and will not go faster than about 20 mph im kinda stumped on where to begin with this also the truck had an aftermarket nav system installed and it got stolen out of the truck so now theres a slight mess of wires where the nav system should be. if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated thanks |
Do you have the original unit to temporarily reinstall to see if the problems go away? Did the problems exist prior to the unit being stolen?
|
i dont have the original unit anymore and the issues seemed to crop up just before the unit was stolen but its hard to tell
|
i was thinking it was a grounding issue but i cant seem to find any chassis grounds to speak of. and i capped off all the wires that were broken or left dangling, from the theft
also re attached the green wire with the red bands that goes to the guage cluster |
Battery voltage ?
Must be Higher then 12 and below 14. |
the voltage is definetly above 12 but sometimes it fluctuates up past the 14 just a hair
|
May be a stupid question but did you check all your fuses?

checked all the fuses and they are all good
the voltage when not running is above 12 and below 14 also found a crossed wire to the guage cluster, that solved the menu scrolling issue, and found a power source for the center console lights and the service 4wd message doesnt pop up anymore all thats left is the service air suspension message |
Is the air suspension working? does it inflate when you press the button for it on the console?
also the problem you were having when it lost power. that is usually refered to as "limp mode" the truck will automatically go into that mode when the engine detects a misfire or something that could damage the engine itself. I'm not an expert on how it works so I can't tell you for sure if its related to the short or not. |
