There was a recall to correct the faux hood vents from flying off at Eway speed or in high velocity car wash dryers which was to glue them to the hood. If you truck had went through the recall, then what do you do to pull off something glued? You pull like a mad man, start at a back corner and get mean. No rocket science involved.

Glue softens with heat. Try heating the underside of the hood with a hair dryer or a heat gun if you are careful. Then try prying on top around the same area that you heated. Good luck

A little history: When the H3's were built the fake hood grille was only held on with some plastic clips under the hood. There was a recall issued because they were flying off; Especially in northern climates where water would run under them, freeze, separate the clips and turn the plastic grille into a big kite at 70 MPH. The remedy for this was for the dealer to glue them on with massive amounts of adhesive to keep them in place forever. Good luck getting it off in one piece.

The car wash did the job just fine with mine, even though it was glued in. All the clips are plastic and must have become brittle over time. ;)
