Hitch question
I have the standard towing package on my H3. I am wanting to get a small enclosed trailer for my motorcycle and general hauling stuff maybe a 12x6.
What type of receiver do I need?
what I mean is do I need one that reduces the height or will it be fine with a straight receiver. I think they call them offset or drop receivers.

Impossible question to answer. Once you get the trailer you want, set it up so it is level. Then get the proper size ball and measure from the bottom of the ball, when in the trailer, to the ground. Then measure from the bottom of your H3 hitch to the ground. The difference if any is the offset you need. Purchase the closest one to this difference and you should be good to go. There are also adjustable hitches but they cost more.
The trailer tounge socket.
1 7/8" or 2", and for the big stuff 2 5/16".
Most boat and enclosed utility trailers will use the 2", but lighter weight flat bed types will use the smaller one. Usually the ball dimension is stamped on the tounge on or near the socket.
